Scheduled Elections for 2020:

Voter Registration:

Need to register to vote? You may now register to vote online, or fill out the following application and return it to the Clerk's Office located at 303 S. Water Street, Marine City, MI 48039.

Up until the 15th day prior to Election Day, citizens may register to vote via registration by mail, at SOS branch office, at the County Clerk's Office and at designated state agencies. After that, citizens must register in person with the City Clerk.

Eligible residents can register to vote in person at the Clerk's Office with proof of residency starting 14 days before an election and continuing through 8:00pm on Election Day.

Absentee Voting:

Due to the adoption of Proposal 18-3 with regard to Absentee Voting, any registered voter may request an Absentee Ballot after submitting a signed request (application or note) to the Clerk's Department. Absentee Ballot Applications can be requested at the City Offices or found online at the Michigan Secretary of State's Office website. Voters may also request to be placed on the permanent AV list, which will allow the voter to automatically receive an Absentee Voter Ballot Application for each election.

Election Inspectors Needed!

Election Inspectors conduct elections for school, State, and Federal offices and proposals. For each election, approximately 12 inspectors are needed. Inspectors must complete the application form and attend training prior to initial appointment and at least every two years thereafter. All Election Inspectors are compensated.
